Abstract

In the evolving landscape of healthcare technology, safeguarding software systems against
cybersecurity threats has become paramount. This paper explores the critical role of Quality
Assurance (QA) in enhancing the security and integrity of healthcare software from a cybersecurity
perspective. It examines how QA processes can be leveraged to identify and mitigate
vulnerabilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold robust security standards. The paper
outlines key QA strategies, such as integrating security testing into the software development
lifecycle, performing risk analyses, and implementing encryption and access controls.
Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of training and awareness in fortifying software
systems against emerging threats. Through a comprehensive analysis, this study aims to provide a
framework for enhancing the security posture of healthcare software through effective QA
practices.
