Abstract

In the digital era, healthcare organizations increasingly rely on cloud computing to store and process sensitive patient information. However, this reliance raises significant concerns regarding the security and compliance of these cloud environments with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This paper analyzes the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance cloud security in healthcare settings, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations while safeguarding patient data. We explore various AI-driven strategies, including anomaly detection, real-time threat intelligence, and automated compliance monitoring, which can significantly bolster the security posture of cloud infrastructures. By leveraging AI, healthcare organizations can proactively identify and mitigate potential security breaches, streamline compliance processes, and enhance data integrity. This study aims to provide insights into the implementation of AI technologies in cloud security frameworks, ultimately contributing to improved patient safety and trust in digital health solutions.
